‘It was not an act of violence’: Police in Turkey say man who attacked the printing house that shot dead his wife is dead

Ankara police said a man has been killed in a gun and knife attack on a printing house in the southeastern city of Van.

The attack happened in the afternoon at a printing company in the neighborhood of Maksim, near the Turkish-Syrian border, the interior ministry said in a statement.

The statement said the man was wounded in the attack.

A police source said the attack came just hours after another printing house was attacked in the same area.

The minister also said the gunman was arrested in a nearby village and was on the run.

The motive for the attack remains unclear.

The ministry said the suspect was shot by security forces after he was shot.
