With all the excitement surrounding the launch of its first printing house in the US, Mashable has been left wondering what the future holds for the print house in New Zealand.
We asked Simon Taylor, editor-in-chief of Mashable, if there were plans to expand to other countries.
“We’ve done a few print house launches in the last two years and there are definitely a few countries that we’d like to be a part of,” he told Mashable.
“For example, the US has been a big growth market for animal prints, and we’d love to do that in a more localised way.”
What does a local print house mean?
As with most print houses, the key to getting the best quality prints is sourcing from the local community.
“I think it’s important for us to build a strong relationship with print houses in other parts of the world.””

“It’s not just print houses who are interested in New Yorkers print print houses: Mashable also sees an increase in online orders, with many of the biggest names in the print world in the country.
As Taylor explained, this has been particularly important for local print businesses: “We’re getting more and more people to order print books online and so we’re seeing more and greater demand for print books in the city.
“So I think that there’s definitely an interest in the idea of getting print books delivered to New Yorkers.”
